Freiburg, October 28, 2024 – Haufe Group has been awarded the title of "Partner Company of Elite Sports" by the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism and the Baden-Württemberg State Sports Association. This award reflects the Haufe Group's commitment to supporting top athletes in achieving the best possible work-life balance.

The award ceremony took place on October 24, 2024 in the MHP Arena in Ludwigsburg. Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of the state of Baden-Württemberg, and Jürgen Scholz, President of the Baden-Württemberg State Sports Association, presented the awards to the twelve partner companies of top-class sport. The event was hosted by Aline Rotter-Focken, Olympic wrestling champion and competitive sports officer of the German Wrestling Federation.

Companies that enable athletes to combine a sporting career with vocational training, a dual course of study or employment and provide appropriate training and workplaces for this purpose are recognized as "partner companies of elite sport". The training or employment relationship is designed to be so flexible that the athletes can fulfill the international sport-specific training and competition requirements. A key requirement is that the athletes are members of a national squad or a German national team in an Olympic or Paralympic sport sponsored by the Baden-Württemberg State Sports Association.

Haufe Group offers such an employment relationship to IT Service Manager Bianca Maria Dittrich, who has been working for Haufe Group since September 2021. Bianca Maria Dittrich is the German record holder in the 35-kilometer and 50-kilometer walking disciplines and an ambitious track and field athlete who is training for the 2025 World Championships. The Haufe Group supports the athlete in combining her job and sporting career by giving her the necessary flexibility and special leave days for training and competitions.

Haufe Group also recently concluded a cooperation agreement with the Freiburg-Schwarzwald Olympic Training Center (OSP). Together, the companies connect people and perspectives with the aim of creating something new and enabling top athletes to have a successful dual career in competitive sport and work.

Birte Hackenjos, CEO of Haufe Group, emphasizes:

"Sport brings people together and needs and promotes teamwork. Top athletes are particularly committed, dedicated and talented. As the Haufe Group, we are delighted to be able to support these young people in their professional orientation, training and employment and also see that they enrich us all with their view of performance."
